Lighting NBV
We strongly believe that when we are at peace, as defined in the aforementioned, we are able to function well at our individual endeavors. As students, we are able to study and do our homework, as adults we can effectively work on our various income generating activities, and as a community, we are able to live in a clean, healthy and peaceful environment. This can happen only when the cycle of poverty and the fear it creates is broken.
By the end of this project, our goal is to see that every household in NBV has access to electricity. The benefits of this include but are not limited to,
· ---Reducing the likelihood of fire out breaks due to kerosene lantern usage
· ---Eliminating incidences of deaths due to poison
· ---Extending the period of work for the average resident
· ---Giving the school children the opportunity to study and do homework beyond sundown setting them up for a bright future.
Overall, this initiative would set the foundation for the socioeconomic infrastructural security of the NBV community. We hope you join us in making this change of not just lighting NBV, but also lighting the hearts of its' natives through peace.
