About Us


This project is a brainchild of Adamu Muhammad and Shalom Nwaokolo, two young Nigerians. We are currently third year Students at Wartburg college, Waverly IA. Growing up, we experienced what it meant to go without electricity and the consequent health, economic and psychological implications that followed. As such, our experiences have not just motivated us to be agents of change, they have also shaped the course of our lives by factoring into our career choice and broadening our concerns with issues of international development.
 


Adamu has a multiethnic origin: he was born in Bauchi State, but hails from Yobe State, Nigeria. He attended Jabi Primary School and Government Secondary School Gwarinpa, both in Abuja Nigeria.


At the undergraduate level, Adamu is majoring Biochemistry major with a Leadership Certificate at Wartburg College from where he intends to go to medical school. He intends to specialize in the cure for kid’s ailments, focusing on the rural poor worldwide.

Just like Adamu, Shalom also has a diverse origin. He was born in Kwara state, but hails from Delta State Nigeria. He attended L.E.A primary school and attended Jabi Junior Secondary and Model Secondary School Maitama Abuja, from where he graduated.

At the undergraduate level, Shalom is double majoring in Economics and Math at Wartburg College Waverly, IA. He intends to go to graduate school in development Economics hopes to use his career to later champion the cause of the rural poor and underprivileged worldwide.




Based in Waverly, Iowa, Dr. Timothy E-west is an assistant Professor of Business Administration and Co-chair of Wartburgs' social entrepreneurship program. His focus and area of expertise lie in the fields of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, economic development, nonprofit management, economics and organizational theory.
